Cuba in Pictures: Viñales & Varadero

This photo book shows the pictures of the places of interest and other major tourist attractions in Viales in Pinar del Ro Province, where most of the Cuban tobacco plantations and factories are located. Pictures of Varadero, the biggest beach resort on the Caribbean island, located in Matanzas Province are also included.Brief information and history of Viales, and some background information about Varadero, were also provided to help readers appreciate the context of the pictures. The pictures shown in the book were taken in 2005 for Varadero and 2008 for Viales, some years before the recent thawing of relations between Cuba and USA. Hence, it is hoped that it would provide a good visual representation of the conditions of the tourist attractions and places of interest, at the time the pictures were taken. The pictures include that of notable places of interest in Viales namely; Viales Valley, Viales Tobacco Drying Barns, The Indian Cave and the Prehistory Mural. Pictures of Varadero beach, and the streets were also shown.The photo book is the third in the series of five volumes which are: Cuba in Pictures: Havana; Cuba in Pictures: Santiago de Cuba; Cuba in Pictures: Camagey; Cuba in Pictures: Viales & Varadero; and Cuba in Pictures: Cienfuegos, Trinidad & Guanayara.
