Crystal Lake chronicles the adventures of the author and his son on repeated visits to Crystal Beach in Burnsville, MN in 2014. Beginning in the spring, the reader is immediately transported to the small beach where the sights and sounds of spring and summer are in full effect: sunshine, a slight breeze, waves crashing against the shore, seagulls calling, children building sandcastles and splashing in the water, and fishing boats slowly gliding past.Crystal Lake is part of an ongoing series the author began in 2010 as a way to record his son's childhood and highlight the simple joys of fatherhood and parenting in general.
