The cryptograms in this book are based on substitution ciphers that can be solved by recognizing letter patterns in words. For instance, double-letter words, words with apostrophes in them, and one letter words (which in English) can only be "i," or "a" (and sometimes "o") will offer clues. And, each cipher is based on the 26 letters of the English alphabet. Lastly, no letter can substitute for itself in the cipher of a puzzle, which will provide clues to the solution. Just in case you need them, this book contains a "Hints" and a "Solutions" section. Lastly, each cryptogram is a Bible verse from the New Testament.
