Good read

A good easy read with some very astute observations from a clearly experienced and thoughtful skipper. If you like this, you may also like L Francis Herrshoff's "The Compleat Cruiser" (sic)

a glorious read

Roland Barth has written a series of wonderful sea stories with great humor, intelligence, and light but important insights, such thqt the cruising rules can be translated to life 'rules'. Although the book could be assumed to attract only those oriented to sailing, it would be a mistake to do so. The appeal of this book is wide, indeed. I gave it to a friend who laughed and laughed while reading it. I hope you all buy it and I feel sure you will enjoy it.

This is a superb little book for all those people who love to sail and to cruise. Lots of gentle wit and wisdom. We bought several copies and gave them to friends we have cruised with. Everyone who has a copy treasures it.
