I had high hopes for a cute vacation read.

This book was meh. I really didn't like the writing style. The characters' thoughts and dialogue seemed disconnected and it just felt like the author was trying too hard to make things funny. Personally, it it felt unnatural and cringey, more like an old cartoon where thoughts and actions are exaggerated, but in book form. And the amount of hashtags?! 😫 Also, there wasn't really any romantic tension or build up, just instant attraction. It is a shorter book but I do wish there was more relationship development. This was supposed to be a quick vacation read but ended up taking me longer due to the writing. 😞
