An easy read .....I liked it!

Answered my questions about a few things I always wondered about and...go figure...it made me laugh in some spots too. Worth the read....

A real eye-opener!

I bought Cruise Control because I'm going on my first cruise this summer and I wanted to find out what to expect. Not knowing where to begin, one of my friends suggested this newly published book. I have to admit it really opened my eyes about what can possibly go wrong on a cruise or on any vacation. Reading this book won't stop bad things from happening, but will certainly help prepare you for dealing with them if they do.

A great resource for the would-be cruiser!

Cruise Control is a great resource for anyone considering a cruise vacation. I think Ron Butcher has done a great service to the cruise industry by demystifying safety issues, and he does it with a very entertaining writing style. It's an easy read, but it's packed with all the information you need to take an informed approach to cruising. I just wish I'd had this book 2 years ago--but I'll definitely use it to plan my next cruise!

Great tool for travel agents

Wow! This book is a wealth of recommendations and suggestions. As a travel agent it will enable me to provide an important service. I could never properly address many of the "what if" worries and this book answers them and more. Now the next shipboard experience, either mine or my clients, will be much more relaxing and packing will be a cinch. It is a very timely book since cruise lines, ferry's and charters have been plagued with bad press and tragic events created by the weather, disappearances, fires, sicknesses, sinkings, etc. An added bonus is that the book is a fast read and full of humor. It will accompany me from now on.

Five Stars for People Who Love to Cruise!

I'm a long time cruise guy with more than 15 trips under my belt. I've always had questions like "what if", but fortunately by cruise vacations were uneventful in terms of problems or incidents. But with all the talk recently of people missing, persons going overboard, crime, etc., I decided to buy this book. I was genuinely surprised at what an easy read it was, how it gave specific info on what to bring, what details to pay attention to, and what NOT to do so I could have an even better vacation. I give Cruise Control by Ron Butcher "two thumbs up" and I'll be taking it with me when I go on my next cruise in two months. WPD
