Terrific Reader

I've been using this as a textbook for my freshman comp classes and am VERY saddened that it has gone out of print. It has terrific, challenging and relevant readings that open up a global perspective for students on issues that come close to home . . . such as family, gender, the individual and the group, et cetera. It also offers great sample papers that demonstrate how students can use the readings to analyze culture, both their own and others'. The questions after the readings, and indeed the connections between the readings, are terrific. I'm planning on asking the publisher for the right to duplicate vast portions of the book for future use.
