Crossing America: A Bicentennial Bike Tour

In the summer of 1976, during the Bicentennial celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, my brother and I rode our bicycles from the San Francisco Bay Area to North Canton, Ohio. I was seventeen years old at the time. These are the journal entries of that trip as we crossed California to Lake Tahoe and Reno, then from Salt Lake City through Omaha and Chicago to home in Ohio.
