Critiquing the Critics of Joseph Smith

Critiquing the Critics of Joseph Smith is what it purports to be: an answer to those who challenge the authenticity of the first prophet of the restored Church. Award-winning author Hartt Wixom doesn't answer the critics through the normal route taken by Latter-day Saints by suggesting faith, prayer, and confirmation of truth through the Holy Spirit. Bravo Mr. Wixom... bravo!

This was an amazing book! It presented the facts like they are! I am surprised that people still consider Brodie's "No Man Knows my History" to be so definitive a work and so great a "biography". The truth of the matter is that Joseph Smith is exactly what he claimed to be. It is so hard to disprove otherwise, but so easy to prove in favor. In the pages of this book, the reader is shown why Joseph is what he claimed. This book does a great - with a capital G - job at not only showing the faults within the anti-Mormon "research" but in providing wonderful rebuttals against even the most vicious anti-Mormon attacks A fantastic book that I would recommend to anyone who wants to know the truth.

Strong defence of Joseph Smith

This book is a very good critique of Fawn Brodie's biography on Joseph Smith, "No man knows my history: the life of the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith." The author blows holes into the claims of Brodie, such as her charge that the Book of Mormon contains anachronistic elements, and provides a strong defence of the First Vision and the religious revivals conducive to Joseph Smith's claims in Joseph Smith - History in the Pearl of Great Price. Other topics discussed include the plural marriages of Joseph Smith, Brodie's charge that the Book of Mormon is based on Ethan Smith's "View of the Hebrews," and much more.
