University book

I used this book for a class at a university. It was the required text book and served me well toward getting an A. For a foundational book, there's nothing wrong with it. The only problem with it was that I could not resell it at the end of the semester because they considered it to be "outdated" at that time.

my review

I was very pleased with the item I purchased from this seller. Very accurate description and fast, courteous service.

informative and up to date

Criminal Justice in America (5th edition) proposes a clear view of the criminal justice system. The book is filled with up to date information including the citation of rulings from the Robert's court in 2006. Cole & Smith greatly sum up topics that can easily have and do have books of their own. Some little things that make a great addition to the book is review questions and answers seen throughout the chapter as well as special little sections in which they talk about specific careers in the criminal justice system. As far as the previous reviewers that claim this book to be racist, they must have only read the first section dealing with "is the criminal justice system racist?"
