Don’t get your hopes up....

Although this was set around the time America was making their break from British rule (and I do like a historical book), I wouldn’t get my hope up too high. It’s not a bad book but I don’t feel like the characters are as developed as they can be (especially considering some of her other books). Even the title is off...you’d have thought the background would’ve been in Louisiana, but it’s not. Other characters are introduced and you get a tidbit of their tale and then they just drop off and it seems so incomplete. For so many pages I felt like the story could’ve been more developed.
