He smiled and his face was a road map of wrinkles. He had led a good life, and he had lived all his life in this cottage in the English countryside.
He felt the cat jump on his lap and then there was Gordon the fat cat. The old man began to stroke the fat cat.
"You have been here longer than me how is that possible Gordon," the cat just purred,
They had adopted the cat when they moved in sixty years ago but that could not be possible. The old man shook his head and sipped at his mug of coffee.
Drake had moved in with his young wife Sandy, and she had died of cancer three years ago and the cat saw all of that. They had three children two boys and a girl and now they lived their own lives in various places in England the cat had seen all of that.
