Creative Story-Telling Journal: 50 simple, ready to use, story-telling worksheets designed to empower you to unleash your creative writing Therapeutic outcomes: This journal could help to improve awareness of emotions, the ability to recognize facial expressions and body language associated with emotions, and to help express personal thoughts and feelings through story-telling. However, as noted in the disclaimer on the previous page, this book is not a substitute for medical or professional advice. Look at the picture (shown on each page). Write four words that pop in mind from the picture. Try to include: a noun, an emotion, a verb, and an adjective. Set a timer for 60 seconds, 5 minutes, or 10 minutes. You can set your timer for as much time as you wish. Write non-stop as soon as the timer stars until it ends. Be sure to use all four words before the timer ends. Do not worry about spelling or grammar. You can go back and edit later. Just get in the habit of writing as much as you can in a very little time. You can use a pencil or ink pen. You can even type your stories, print them, and paste them below the pictures. Teachers or group leaders may want to encourage participants to share their stories aloud. However, please don't force a person to share a story they'd rather keep private. Encourage those who share to be dramatic in their story-telling with the use of their tone of voice and body language to make it fun
