This book contains a collection of creative works of art from patients who were admitted to the Medical University of South Carolina's Institute of Psychiatry. Our goal for this project was to provide patients with an outlet to express themselves during an acute period of psychiatric crisis. By viewing their artwork and reflections, readers can see how patients use art and creativity to search for answers that will bring peace to their mind, body, and soul. This collection demonstrates how creative, insightful, and courageous patients with mental illness truly are, and in sharing these experiences we wish for you to receive a message of hope and inspiration.
