The poems in this book explore life in its various aspects- both positive and negative. The poet feels an irresistible urge to depict life as it is. As the pleasing moments and experiences of life have a fascinating charm, so are there failures and hypocrisies with their depressing effects upon us. Life, in order to be enjoyed fully, must be accepted in all its multi-coloured variety. Some of the poems have turned towards an exploration of the function of poems and the nature of the poet. Some poems, again, advocate the thought that happiness and peace depend not on external circumstances but on one's mind and a sense of acceptance.
