I received this as a gift, really enjoyed listening in the car

Just a series of common-sense recommendations on how to start and run a successful & ethical business. Thalheimer sounds like a friendly & down-to-earth guy, who seems to think excellent customer service is all that separates us from the animals... I'm inclined to agree. I think it even came with a gift card for Sharper Image(?).

I really enjoyed this book and hearing Mr. Thalheimer present the history of the Sharper Image and his insights on its growth from start up to the popular brand that it is today. The book is filled with lessons that can be applied to almost any business. As a retailer I found the book thought provoking and rich with ideas. An easy listen providing practical, compelling and useful information that I can apply in business.

I'm generally not much for books that tell you how to succeed. Most of the writers of these books only "succeed" because some idiot buys their book. So I was more than a little skeptical when my wife gave me these CDs. But she's love all that Sharper Image stuff and thought since I'd been talking about starting my own business I should hear what the guy that started it had to say. So I listened on way back and forth to work on the train into New York was surprised by how quickly the ride went. That guy really tells a good story and has a lot of smart things to say about life and business. I'm impressed by his book and grateful for the good advice. I'm not quite ready to make my own Sharper Image but I'm a lot closer thanks to my wife's gift of these CDs.

Very down to earth advice for anyone with a business or starting a business. The tapes are easy to listen to and even a very experienced business person will pick up some good advice.
