This book works! Small and colorful, you can't go wrong.

Pictures, pictures and more pictures. This book gives full color screen shots for every single step of making and uploading a web page (and a friendly little cartoon guide leads the discussion). Even the simple things, like changing the color of text on a web page, come with graphically pleasing pictures to show the way. I used this book to create my web pages at TwoAgePress. I have several certifications under my belt. I study frequently. This book was a great help in me making my career change from being a Technical Support Specialist to becoming a Web Developer. Wonderful introduction to HTML!

This book attracted me because of the use of full-color pictures and examples on every page. I think this is extremely important when starting to learn HTML because you're creating something that is ultimately visual. It really teaches you the basics and gives you a good foundation for advanced study in the future. I definitely recommend it for beginners!

This is a great beginners book!

When I saw the cute little cartoons in this book, I wasn't sure that it was for me. But after giving it a deeper look, I found very clear, detailed examples with step by step instructions. It made learning beginning html very painless. I highly reccommend this book for those just starting out. And don't let the cartoons fool you. This is good down to earth stuff...
