Creating the Future with Vidar

By Steffen Hartmann and Volker Fintelmann MD

Who is Vidar, and why does this silent figure speak so powerfully to our time?

In the ancient prophecy of Ragnar k from Norse mythology, Vidar confronts and overcomes Fenris Wolf, the force of destruction and deception that threatens the world. But what does this dramatic image mean for modern humanity? In an age marked by illness, social upheaval, war and growing uncertainty, the authors explore how Vidar's strength, courage and attentive listening can become living realities within us.

Drawing on the wisdom of the Edda, Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy and decades of spiritual, medical and cultural research, the authors invite readers on a reflective journey into the being of Vidar - the quiet guardian of humanity and a guide towards our future. From the mysteries of Christ and Michael to the challenges of evil, disease and the future of anthroposophic medicine, this book offers both spiritual insight and practical inspiration. Particular attention is given to Vidar's connection with healing, including new perspectives on mistletoe therapy and the renewal of medicine in our time.

Concluding with impulses for a meditative path of practice, Creating the Future with Vidar is an inspiring, stimulating and deeply insightful invitation to encounter a spiritual helper whose time has now arrived.
