It is commonplace today to read about the importance of collaborative, hands-on science. But can we assume that children build knowledge simply through their interactions with materials and each other? Real world experiences in the classroom

This book gives a great insight into how to build your classroom into a safe scientific space. The chapter on dialogue journals sent not only my science class in a new direction, but also my math class!! What a terrific find!
