My very first introduction to HTML code was so overbearing, I thought that learning to write this code would never happen...until I came across this nifty little book in a library. "Why not?" I thought, picking it up, turning it's pages never imagining that this juvenile book would launch my interest html. The book gently tells you in clear, straight English what the code is all about. It gradually builds up a working vocabulary and explains in a simple way how to put it all together. Then it goes on to give the reader an even clearer idea of how to develop the skill of writing html code for a more satisfying experience with web design. Finally, after having read through the content many times, I took the plunge and returned to the more comprehensive manuals with a fresh look at an old horror. While it is not great reading, I certainly recommended this book to anyone scared out of his or her wits to learn html. Although it was written for kids, the fragile older mind can indeed benefit from its direct approach to a complex problem. It is a first step, but an essential one. This book lays the groundwork that can be built upon.
