Must own book for you entire family!!!!!!

Cranky Pants is one of these special books that only after a few pages both child and adult will absolutely love and become a book EVERYONE including you the parent) will wants to read again and again. What I really like about this book is that it is about a little boy who wakes up cranky after a night of bad dreams and how his day progresses. He just can't seem to shake being cranky though out the day until his mom comes to pick him up from school. His mom doesn't rush to try and change his crankiness but lets him be to do it on his own. Little by little his crankiness slowly lifts with some good pizza for dinner and being around his loving family! The illustrations are really cute, and will be a blast from your past if you grew up in the 70's. You'll enjoy finding some toys you loved like..... a Big Wheel & Inchworm riding toys, Weebles ( notice there is one that actually fell down ), Rock- um Sock-um Robots, a View Master, Star Wars Luke Skywalker action figure, x-wing fighter & Darth Vadar's fighter, a metal Evil Knievil lunchbox (that inside I bet inside has a thermos lined with glass!) There is also a litlle view into your elementary schools classroom complete with smile face poster, the world globe and pencil sharpener, remember going out and playing kickball, and being "mushed" between two classmates in the lunch line? My daughter loves reading this book and both my husband and I love reading it to her time and time again! She also requests to be "mushed" by ( being hugged). Just a simply delightful book! Here's to more terrific books by this artist and illusrator!

With an original and boldly outlined drawing style

The original and boldly outlined drawing style of the color illustrations by Matt Whitlock captivates the eye in this outgoing story by Stephen Sanzo that young people are sure to identify with.

My daughter loves Cranky Pants! I'll just finish reading it, and she'll say, "Read it again, daddy!" When she is having a bad day, I now just say, "are you having a 'Cranky Pants' kind of day?" and that instantly puts a smile on her face. All the references to my childhood make it fun and nostalgic for me to read it. My daughter loves the bright, bold illustrations as much as the story. I definitely recommend adding Cranky Pants to your child's book collection!

Love it... and so do my kids!

This is such a fantastic book to enjoy with your children. The story is just adorable and something every parent and child can relate to... we all have cranky days, don't we? Being a child of the 70's myself, I have so much fun reminiscing with each turn of the page. These "flashes from the past" also spur on great conversations with my children about what it was like back when Mommy and Daddy were their age. You and your children will LOVE this book!

Cute, cute, cute

I thought the book was adorable and something that I could relate to. Having had my share of "cranky" days, it is fun to watch how his day unfolds and how he moves from "cranky" to happy by days end. A great book to share with your children, from 2-18 years old. As a parent of children aged 4-20 years of age, I have dealt with my share of cranky days and I know they will get a kick out of this. I highly recommend it!!!
