Finally some practical insight and tools backed by plausible reasoning

This book has upset the apple cart in what I thought I knew about dealing with male executives. Three key takeaways: 1. It's really not personal - certain male behaviors particularly around other males in the business setting have perplexed me for years. Through this book I began to understand some origins of and purpose of these behaviors. 2. I CAN have greater impact in my business dealings with male executives by making a handful of changes in the delivery of my message. 3. Greater collaboration and innovation are the excellent by-products of male and female executives being able to more effectively strategize and communicate. The measure of impact will be seen on the top line with minimal financial investment. This book provided very useful insight in male/female group dynamics. I can't wait to try out Mike's suggestions. However, the book did more than explain male behavior and offer tools for women executives. It convinced me to become an anthropologist during business interactions and take more time to study how people interact for the good of the organization.

Cracking the Boy's Club Code -Excellent!

Having been in the corporate world for many years, I can easily relate to the workplace scenarios Mike discusses in his book. Mike explains in easy to understand terms the differences in the thinking process of men and women. Once you understand these differences, you will know how to communicate effectively not only in the corporate world but with men in general. The book is easy to read with exercises to assist in relating the information to your own situation. I highly recommend this book to women of all ages.

Still learning from my old boss

Mike Johnson's book is full of realities in the work place that happen all the time between men and women. However, at the moment they occur we don't realize what has happened. After reading Mike's book, every past incident and those to follow create a little light bulb that turns on instantly. This is an excellent book for working women of all ages. Those that have been in the workplace for years or the newest kid on the block. I have encouraged my daughter who is new in the "real world" to make it is on her must read list. Mike's writing is easy to read and understand. I think this should be added to the required list for any business management or sales class at the university level.
