March 29 1849 The Document of Truth In Article 3 of the Treaty of Lahore the text explicitly stated- The gem called the KohiNoor shall be surrendered by the Maharajah of Lahore to the Queen of England The word Gift did not exist in this document It was a mandatory condition of war imposed on a 10yearold child

July 3 1850 The Date of Pretense When the diamond was first presented to the Queen in London East India Company records logged it as a Prize of War The drama of a gift had not yet begun because Dalhousie was still navigating the legalities of a forced seizure

18511852 Guilt and the Cutting When the London public began criticizing the diamond as looted property the British decided to rewrite history They cut the diamond physically destroying its ancient Sikh identity so it could be rebranded as a new British jewel

July 1854 The Day History Was Rewritten This is the date the British staged their grandest lie Duleep Singh was brought to Buckingham Palace The same diamond stolen from him five years prior was placed in his hands As he handed it back to the Queen British officials began recording in official letters The Maharajah has voluntarily gifted this to the Queen
