Coyote and Encounters with Owl

The devious Coyote, out to hunt for rabbit fur to lure the children to follow him, is spotted by the clever Owl. Knowing Coyote's true motives, Owl follows him, and works against him at every turn. With Owl's presence nearby, Coyote may learn the valuable lesson to never work in the presence of an owl.

Based on Native American beliefs and lore, Coyote and Encounters with Owl brings Native American culture to the forefront of children's storytelling. A story for children of all ages, this short tale is created for Native American children, for representation in children's literature, but also for children of all nationalities to learn more about Native American culture and storytelling.
