COWSMOPOLITAN, something Thomas Hagey likes to call "Bovine Intervention", takes a well-aimed, ingenious kick at the "sacred cows" of the fashion, cosmetic and advertising industries.
This book, which is a parody of Cosmopolitan magazine, was given to me several years ago as a gift. It is absolutely hilarious! It parodies the magazine using cows instead of people. Some of the articles are "Do You Have A Job? How to Tell for Sure", "How to Milk Your Ex for Everything" and features like "Mr. Avail-A-Bull." The "advertisements" are pretty funny too. My favorite was for the "Sometimes" sanitary pad. "Sometimes. . . When always is too much, and never is not enough."This book is written by a former pig farmer turned comedian. He has other books like "Penthorse" and "Playboar" which are also animal based parodies of popular publications. His latest effort is "Vague" magazine.
