I have worked in hospital wards nearly all my life. It is chaotic, and hard, but I will never forget those early days of the pandemic...
The hospital corridors were filled with patients! There were not enough beds. People were falling sick left and right, and staff shortages only added to the problems!
I lost many good friends...
And then the time came when I finally fell ill with the virus. Yes. I became one of its victims as well. And that was only just the beginning of the nightmare for me!
When I was sick my partner showed me no support. We argued. It got nasty. Eventually I had to flee and ended up on the streets...
Could things still get worse? O Yes indeed! Much worse. It was hell, but through thick and thin I held onto hope that I would survive and see my family again.
