The Windflower Saga epic fantasy author Aleksandra Layland, a FAPA Presidents Award medalist in romance, fantasy, young adult fiction, children's books, and short fiction, has joined forces with fantasy romance author and FAPA medalist Ronnda Eileen Henry to release their one and only attempt at a Jane Austen fan fiction novella "mashup" which incorporates their signature fantasy worlds into an alternative storyline based on the classic novel Pride and Prejudice.

Under this alternate storyline and set in the beautiful Lake District of northern England, 22-year-old Ben Wickham, the son of Pride and Prejudice's handsome "bad boy" Mr. Wickham, and Lottie, the daughter of Lizzy Bennet and Mr. Darcy, are missing for three days while hiking on holiday. Their cousins, "Cat" Catherine Collins, Wilma Bingley, and Lucas Fitzwilliam, are frantically searching for them along with every available hand the local authorities can muster, but there is no sign of them. When they suddenly appear on the trail where Cat is searching, dressed in very different clothes from what they were wearing when they left, tanned, and with hair growth and styles that strangely suggest a longer absence, their excuse about falling into a ravine and being rescued by gypsies and held at their camp for a few days, seems hardly believable to Cat. When Lottie later confides the truth to her, it is even less believable. In fact, it's out of this world.

Are Lottie and Ben insane, delusional, suffering from a terrible head injury, or making up an excuse for a failed elopement attempt? Cat's logical mind and loving heart will come to the fore as these cousins remain Cousins, One and All. If you're a fan of Jane Austen and a fan of "otherwprldly" fantasy, you'll enjoy this fun blending of the two genres.
