Kids' Expert from "The View" wrote a fantastic book

I always watch out for Courtney whenever she appears on the "The View"; a few months ago I ordered her book for my family and I can honestly say it's fantastic. I have never seen kids respond so quickly and so enthusiastically to a book. It's colorful, eye-catching and really fun (for all of us). She shows kids how to turn ordinary household items into magical creations. Plus, unlike other books of this kind that require your own personal laboratory, or a few hundred yards of gossamer ribbon, these projects can actually be completed by normal people with normal resources and a moderate income. Anyone with kids who have "seen this" and "done that" should get this book ASAP.

A great counter to summer vacation doldrums

Color drawings and photographs illustrate suggestions for entertainments ranging from scavenger hunts, to creating puppets, to simple games shared with friends, and much, much more. Courtney's Creative adventures is enthusiastically recommended as being a great counter to summer vacation doldrums, holiday blues, and an excellent "anytime" antidote to boredom!

The most creative activity book I have ever seen!

I am incredibly impressed and charmed by Ms. Watkins! What a talent and personality. This book is a treasure for both parents and children. I feel it opens the creative minds of children, crawls into their heads and really gets at what makes them excited and tick. It also helps parents bond and laugh with their kids aside from sitting in front of the TELEVISION! There is also so much information packed into this book that it is worth 3x's the price.I can't wait to see more Courtney Watkins books!

This one is a GO!

Delightfully written and illustrated book of creative activities for children in those lemonade-stand ages who need more ideas and ways to amuse themselves. Parents can suggest certain of the activities for their children and point them out in the book,or a child who can read can take off on their own following the suggestions/instructions humorously written for that activity. The activities require few props/materials beyond the child's imagination, and would be things the child could do alone or with parents and friends. What fun this book holds for a child!!! I hope yours gets to experience it! I bought several copies for our waiting room in our kid's counseling office, and both parents and kids are raving about the book. After twenty years of counseling kids and 30 years of parenting myself I have finally found a kids activity book that is REALLY for kids, and REALLY taps into their imaginations. Congrats to this author for a job well-done. This one is a keeper!

Spirit and excitement leap from the pages of this book. It is all about encouraging a child's imagination, full of things to do but also ways to engage. Courtney Watkins has an amazing gift, she never preaches, never teaches, she merely makes a space and environment where any child alone, or with a parent can find ways to engage their minds and one another. It truly is a one of a kind book, and has the potential to make all the difference in a child's evolution, not to mention it's fun fun fun!
