Counting with Sir Gary is a book that I wrote as a tribute to my hero and only living National Hero of Barbados Sir Garfield Sobers. My son Nathanael was my inspiration. I wanted to write a book that he could enjoy and to show him that if you have a dream you should work towards it and never give up . It is the first book about Sir Gary geared towards children and written by a Barbadian.It was said that that Sir Gary was a five in one cricketer and so my book incorporates a mixture of activities such as counting, colouring and performance tasks. It also includes information on his record breaking achievements and fun facts about the exciting game of cricket. I encourage you to research the life of the legend Sir Gary Sobers.
