Counterculture. To reject the behavior of a society who claims my culture and lifestyle is not beautiful. Who depicts me as bottom-lipped and heavy-bottomed to imply that I cannot raise the corners of my mouth to form eloquence, or that my hips cannot slide smoothly into sophistication. They are pathetically mistaken. My counterculture sits on every one of their stools; orders everything on the menu and chews slowly. Digesting the best and discarding the worst. Sits back and slowly sighs because I am about to burst with laughter and joy. They cannot shatter what they cannot pinpoint. The diner. The meeting spot. The steaming hot pot of coffee.
