We are solidly on track to lose the War on Terror, as I warned we would on the first page of this book when the new policy was announced a week after 9/11. Fifteen years later as I issue this update, it is still true: the War on Terror is actually the cause of terror, and our war against hate and hate crimes is the actual cause of hate and hate crimes. Now that terrorism and hate crimes have merged as they did in Orlando, the real nightmare will begin. We don't have much time to figure this out.
