Shelly Skiver writes extensively on the Biblical book of Haggai, and its contemporary importance to us in the Church Age. As she did in her book 'Solace', Skiver here spells out the End-Time implications of Haggai and the urgency to us today in understanding God's messages delivered by this extremely important prophet over 2,500 years ago. In 'COUNTDOWN......to the Imminent Return of Christ', Skiver again writes of Haggai, explaining how the completion of the ancient temple built by the Returning Remnant points directly to the time of completion of the Church today. She explains how Jesus comes to both 'temples'. As Skiver points out in 'COUNTDOWN', there is not much time left in this age. Therefore, if you've been on the fence about Jesus, 'COUNTDOWN' is a 'must read' for you. And if you're already a Christian, it may be time to reevaluate your priorities. Either way, this book deserves your attention, as it reveals much about the mysteries of God regarding the End of Time. 'COUNTDOWN' tells us what we want and need to know. If, as Skiver believes, the Church Age is all but up, she urges each of us to 'give careful thought to our ways,' as God tells us repeatedly to do in Haggai. According to Skiver the primary reason for delivering this message is not to cause us to cower in fear or obsess on the exact date and time; but rather to understand the necessity of getting right with God and getting right with others in our life. She makes her case very methodically and logically, compelling even the most ardent skeptic to 'give careful thought' to their ways.Skiver describes herself as a flawed human being who loves God. She admits that she is just an ordinary person; not a Biblical Scholar. She is humble and vulnerable, telling of a period of time in which she was bitter toward God and wanted little to do with Him. Skiver readily admits to having failed Him and others. She is relatable, her justification of Jesus' imminent return sensible, and her encouragement for the church welcome and refreshing.
