Great Read!!!!

I thought the book was awesome!! Niobia's use of humor in this story kept me laughing. Ape is a riot all by herself!! Lex, her love interest in the story was hilarious also. Once he figured out that you can't live your life for others, he realized what a great catch Ape was. The book was and easy read and left you wanting more. I couldn't put it down!!!!! Niobia, you truly have a gift for writing. Thanks for another great love story.

This is how the two combine...

Niobia Bryant has done it again! She has given readers a book that is funny and sexy and tender all rolled up in one. I love the fact the April takes on the black elite and shows them that she is just as good if not better than they are. I love that she makes Lex face his need to be seen as perfect and his desire to always do what others think is the right thing. Even though it takes him a minute to "get it," when he finally does, it is so-oo worth it. Watching the two of them fall deeply in love, even though she doesn't really care for the high-yellow brothas and he is used to a more refined woman, is like watching a perfect combination. The sex scenes are off the wall hot and the love they have for one another is undeniable. Pick this book up today. You won't regret it!

Niobia Does It Again

When I saw Niobia's book on the shelf at BN, I ran over people to pay for it. It took me less than 5 hours to read it. I gave huh, yea, maybe, ok ok ok answers to my children while reading it. I woke my husband up laughing so loud at some of the comments April made thinking to myself I would have said that too. And that Lex oooooh,oh,oh. The cover was on point. But to me the best of all was April wasn't this petite thing. The girl had meat and was confident & sexy with it. And seeing that as a full figuered woman myself made me feel more confident and proud that Ms. Bryant showed the world there's more than one type of woman. Oh, and did I mention how hot the sex scenes were (:o Great job on another one. The only bad part about the book was it had to end :(

Niobia does it again...

One thing is certain. I can always COUNT on Niobia Bryant to write the type of romance novel that keeps me thoroughly captivated until the very last page. In "Count on This" we catch up with April Dutton (the sister of Gabby Dutton-Bennett from "Can't Get Next To You"). She and her best friend Clayton are in Sin City for a little "whatever-happens-here-stays-here" fun, when she spots Alexander "Lex" Macmillan. Clearly off the sex-o-meter chart, advertising CEO, Lex is there with his boys for a bachelor party. However, his April "radar" goes berserk and he hooks up with her for a night of passion that turns into a week of bliss and then unexpectedly a marriage of "uh-oh...what have I done?" The morning after leaves Lex with doubts and worries about what his family would think. April goes from euphoria, to anger and finally disappointment -- when her new hubby promptly serves her annulment papers. I loved this book! It had everything I expect from Niobia, steamy love scenes that are sure to sweat out your curls with every turn of the page. The sister can WRITE! As always, the character development was great. At times, I was yelling at Lex for behaving like a spineless punk, rooting April on for her convictions and antics, and telling Lex's Mama and wannabe girlfriend, Tiffany, to go somewhere - quick, fast and in a hurry. I also enjoyed seeing how Gabby, Max and Addie were doing. It was like coming home. Ms. Bryant, you have my continued respect and readership. Well done!

April and Lex

April and Lex has a whirlwind love affair over a matter of a weeks time. Lex not wanting to live without April, the one person who taught him that there is another side of life than being serious and business like all the time. Without thinking of what may happen once he gets home to his socialite friends, Lex asks April to marry him. The morning after takes its toll on April and Lex. Lex has contacted his attorney and asked April for an annulement. April runs and Lex tries to get those annulment papers signed. April shows up at an unopportuned time to announce that she is Lex's wife and as they say the rest is history. April agrees to stay with Lex one month to make him look good, now that its announce that he has a wife. They fall more in love and although the papers are eventually signed, Lex never files the papers. Great read.... I really enjoyed this book. Thank Niobia.....
