The Cosmos and many other things have changed and appeared since this series was produced. Yet it is still interesting, and some things are still relevant.
There was DARPA, but no w-w-w. Pluto was a planet. The genome was not mapped. The Higgs Boson Particle has not yet been found. The Maya civilization was peaceful. And so on.
It is also fun to see the clothing and hairstyle at the time of the presentation.
However, the message of Cosmos by Carl Sagan is still relevant. And it is beautifully inspiring.
Warning – you may find yourself going around saying “Billions and billions” In a Carl Sagan voice.
After watching this series, your next one should be “The Ascent of Man” (1993), by Jacob Bronowski.
