My name is Jason Connally. In my relatively short second life, I have been gifted with more than my fair share of supernatural blessings. Immortality. True power, the depths of which even I do not fully comprehend. A knack for surviving trouble, often of my own making, and the affections of the beautiful immortal Gisele, who may have been the inspiration for the Egyptian goddess Neith.

Those last two are in the same sentence on purpose.

While prowling the streets of Seattle on a cold night many years ago, I chose Alicia Morgan as my nightly meal, only to find her being stalked by a pair of hired killers. When the four of us collided, I switched roles from predator to protector, and my brutal intervention sparked a troubled and dangerous relationship. A relationship that placed me at violent odds with Gisele and alienated the Ekhaya that I reluctantly ruled.
