Various perspectives are helpful

All too often, books are written from one perspective, and it is rare that you find a book that contains three different viewpoints on the same topics--from prisoners and ex-prisoners, people who work in the correctional field, and academic experts. The editors have also chosen works by and about both male and female prisoners.This book is meant to be used mainly for higher education purposes, but it is one of the most interesting books you'll ever read for class. In addition, it's a great book for the general public who want a better understanding of challenges facing our jails and prisons today.
