Core Concepts in Anatomy is a human gross anatomy text that for the first time is available in print with color illustrations. The text comes in two versions. This version (with an orange cover and with "Sequenced by Dissection Regions" appended to the title), in conjunction with a good atlas, has been used successfully as a text for a student's initial study of human gross anatomy. The other version (with a teal cover) is organized in a manner best suited for review of material to which the student has had previous exposure. The contents of the two versions are identical and may be viewed as being what you would underline if you were to read a large anatomy text. Decide which you think will best suit your purposes. The author is a Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus, and former Chair of the Department of Anatomical Sciences, at Stony Brook University School of Medicine.
