Excellent resource but very practical, too.

This book is for anyone facing a physical challenge or disability - even a temporary one. Written in clear, concise terms, this book is great for parents, care-givers, grands, aunts, uncles, and all close family of children who face disability. Each chapter deals with a challenge and then has little stories of young people coping well with and through the challenge. Could be read to young children, too, but is written on the average newspaper level. Written from the person with the disability's point-of-view. Great companion book to Ratto's second book COPING WITH A PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED BROTHER OR SISTER. Both are super for the whole family - even the members of your medical team. Hardcover - excellent buy, written by a parent of two children with disabilities who is an educator.
