Cooperation on environmental issues

Today, global and regional air pollution problems have taken on particular importance. Many believe that cooperation between states or countries would enable the development of appropriate strategies. However, environmental cooperation is not automatic. This study aims in particular to understand how the problem of climate change is discussed by nations, decision-makers and economists at international level, and to highlight the importance and consequences of international cooperation at both global and regional level. Environmental cooperation between countries can include formal or informal collaboration, NGOs or intergovernmental panels. The Millennium Declaration and the Johannesburg Declaration put forward proposals in the form of the "Three Pillars" or spheres: economic, socio-political and environmental.
