"Listen to me, Cookieville " Smokey announced, feeling a new energy surge through him. "We will bring down the Mothership, and I promise you I will lose my last life if it means we're free."

Smokey suddenly realized the oath he had just made and shuddered at the mere thought of it.

Can I even promise them that? Smokey asked himself silently.

"Well, if no one else is going to take a stand, I'll defend Cookieville with you, Smokey," Felix said, standing next to Mr. Beans.

"And me," Bo agreed.

"Count me in " another cat chimed in.

And like that, dozens of the Cookieville cats began promising they would fight off the alien cats.
