I have never stopped reading a book due to boredom until now.

There has been so much hype around this book, but I truly don't understand why. I read it with the expectation to be drawn in as books normally do for me. I tried to give it a chance, but I found it so boring. I couldn't finish it unfortunately. I don't think that having to push yourself through something to see if it'll get better is worth giving it the benefit of the doubt. I had a terrible time with my ADHD trying to read it without the use of quotations in conversation. That threw me off quite a bit, though I know that some Irish authors do this. I know many liked this book, but personally it just was not for me.

Couldn’t Put It Down

Sally Rooney has a way with words. Literally. The internal monologue of her characters are relatable and intriguing. The plot has so many unexpected revelations shown through the different character’s journeys. Rooney has written with elegance and vulnerability and told one of her greatest stories yet.
