In this work, we study sliding-mode control applied to a fourth-order model of an electro-energetic system consisting of a synchronous machine linked to an infinite busbar. To control the angular velocity and the variation of the rotor angle of the machine. This book is organized into an introduction, three chapters and a conclusion.The first chapter is a set of basic formulations and definitions for any system control work.The second chapter is dedicated to the presentation of the sliding-mode control technique for linear and nonlinear systems, and its theories with all that concerns the robustness of this technique, demonstrated by a nonlinear example.The third chapter presents the simulation results of sliding mode control applied to an electro-energetic system.
