The academic performance of students in the Saber tests is considered as one of the objectives of the teaching-learning process, however, innovation in pedagogy is required to improve performance in all subjects. In this research the objective was to analyze how the curriculum and teaching practice, in the opinion of teachers, contribute to academic performance in the Saber 11 tests at IERD Diego G mez De Mena in the municipality of Tabio Cundinamarca, in Colombia, to raise the possibility of a pedagogical intervention proposal that contributes to improve test results in future years.
