Contract on the President is a fresh look at the Presidency by someone who appears to have been there. Great details about innerworkings of the White House and press corps. John Simeon Andrews is a villian, but we've gotten used to that, haven't we? Impossible to put down until the last page.

Great read

This is the kind of book that makes me stay up too late reading because it's so absorbing. I love the attention to details -- they call up clear visuals of the settings and the characters. Also really enjoyed the storyline about corruption in the White House -- because I believe that's the way it is. Too bad we don't have a real-life Sam Matthews to dig all this stuff out.

Great, fun read. The author kept me in suspense the whole way. This is the best thriller I've read in years. It's hard to believe this is his first novel.
