A Must Have Book for Every Knitters Library!

This is the book that inspired me to knit. I saw the Killybegs Cardigan and decided, I want to learn to make that! It took a while to gain the skills to make that cardigan, but this book is a great introduction to one of the most creative and gifted knit designers and teachers, Carol Feller. All the patterns in this book are beautifully constructed to fit well, be fun to knit, plus learn a few new tricks and skills, with very limited seaming. Contemporary Irish Knits will also give you a wonderful look into the history of Aran Knitting, Irish wool and yarns, gorgeously photographed by Carol's by husband Joe. I have made two Killybegs cardigans, and several other patterns in this book. I have used the unique construction techniques Carol has created and shown in this book to improve other knitting projects. Since purchasing this book, I have taken all of Carol's online classes, available through Bluprint and I have purchased and knit over 2 dozen of her independent patterns through Ravelry. I am one of thousands of knitters who have become better, happier and confident in my skills due to this amazing and talented woman. If you knit or love someone who does, buy this book! You will use it and treasure it, as I do!
