This is a generic contagion movie.

Beth Emhoff (Gwyneth Paltrow) comes home after a night while living and debauchery. She coughs all over her family, and people are starting to die right and left. Now it's up to the CDC to find out where the problem came from and if they can stop it before it wipes out civilization. There are a lot of famous and infamous actors in this presentation. For the most part, we're rooting for them to make it to the end of the film. However, there is the occasional character that you are just waiting for him/her to catch it. Lots of books and lots of movies focus on the standard contagious disaster. In this one, we were spared the evil-done guy that doesn't listen to people, or in general, the defrocked scientist who turns out to be the only one who knows the true answer. Yeah, there might've been a fraud who tried to make a few million in the self-sacrificing individual to try to cut corners, but they are shadows of the exaggerated personalities of most disaster movies. All in all, it's quite intriguing to watch. There was not a lot of gratuitous vomiting. I'm not sure what the purpose of this movie was, as there was nothing unique other than making another movie for people who like to watch disasters. As you watch this presentation, ask yourself what you would do in that situation.
