This is a satirical novel which describes an unusual experience of an alien who landed on Earth with objective to study humans. He becomes involved with a family of Russian immigrants in a typical American city located somewhere in upstate New York. In an unusual and often funny sequence of events he discovers American reality through a prism of an immigration lawyer and a taxi driver. Their mentality, their struggle to hold to the old country traditions in a new and challenging environment drives lives into a controversial world they create around themselves. The novel ends in a very surprising scene which lives room for interpretation and some mystery.
