A young editor watches a mother feed her child to lions at a zoo and subsequently decides that witnessing the act brings her success in life. With a combination of absurdism and genre-crossing, these stories address disappearances, abandonment, childhood love triangles, and characters mutated by late-stage capitalism with all its shapeshifting environments.
