Wonderful read!

This a wonderful read that will give you some real insight into what goes on in Hollyweird. Very entertaining.

Writers Notes 2005 Book Award Winner

If humor is an effective tool for explain-ing the division between two parties, this book dissects the liberal landscape with freethinking accuracy. L.A. Times columnist Prelutsky emerges from the small closet of Hollywood conservatives with a collection of essays and anecdotes that will have all but a few actors laughing aloud. It's a running debate that deftly ex-poses the error in pigeonholing yourself inside an ideology.

Laughed, wanted more

I listened to this interview on First Voice. I got the book and read it. He's funny and very thoughtful in his writing, which I like a lot. But I gave it four stars rather than five because I wish the chapters were longer. Of course, with short chapters it's an easy read, you can read it in sections. Very touching his thoughts about family, like why he flies the American flag (www.firstvoicebooks.com/marsconservative.html). He is warm without being fake and hard without being fake.

witty insightful easy reading

I love this book. It was very humorous and well written and organized in short chapters. Yes not all artistic people are lefists!

This is one fun read!

I'm glad Mr. Prelutsky has finally put many of his colorful essays between two covers. This is a delightful, if somewhat cynical, collection of characteristically opinionated pieces that would give Andy Rooney a run for his money. Highly recommended, despite a caricature of the author that makes him look, inexplicably, like the late Jose Ferrer.
