Conquest time How time affects us, and we time

A few years ago, a colleague of mine underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. For several hours he was under general anesthesia, and when he woke up, he could not believe that the operation had already ended. He did not feel that some time had passed. "It feels like that watch was just erased from my life," he said. "One moment I was talking to the anesthesiologist, they gave me anesthesia, and the next I woke up."
With operations, this is a common thing - it often seems to a person that the time between "immersion" and "exit" simply disappears. Similarly, a woman with epilepsy notes that time does not move during an attack:

Some of his patients realized that while they were unconscious, a lot of time had passed - although they continued to feel young, as then. But for others, the past decades seem to have had, in the words of Sachs, "no subjective duration at all." That is why, he believes, some of these people were able to so easily "continue life from the same place" and immediately return to their previous activities and habitual behavior - as if they had simply awakened from a night's sleep.
